Frequently asked questions

Can I get a visa on arrival in Tanzania?

It is possible to collect your visa on arrival at some airports and ports. You will only be able to pay in post-2006 US dollars. There is onlyone counter at the airports, so it can be very time consuming. Be aware that immigration officials may reduce the validity of your regular visa at their discretion.

In the context of the COVID-19 epidemic, it is strongly advised to carry an e-Visa to avoid crowds at airports.

⏰ When to apply for an e-Visa?

When travelling, this form must be accompanied by a copy of the identity document of the legal guardian.

⏱ How long is the e-Visa valid for?

The e-Visa issued will be basedon the dates of stay you indicate on the form. It allows you to stay for a maximum of 90 days but if you indicate that you want to stay for one month, the e-Visa issued will only allow you to stay for one month.
